Your Suitability For Invisalign

Our Invisible Braces Process
Step One
You come into our Derby clinic for a consultation with our Invisalign-trained dentist. During that time, your needs, expectations and concerns are discussed, and any questions you have are answered. We will also carry out an examination of your teeth and gums just to check suitability.
If you are suitable for this excellent treatment, we will then develop a detailed treatment plan just for you. This starts with us taking impressions of your teeth and booking a future appointment for step two.
Step Two
From the impressions you have given us, we will create a digital representation of your teeth straightening journey, from the starting point, and then every two weeks as you progress towards your final result. This digital representation is created with your input as well as our experienced advice. If you are happy with the treatment plan proposed, we can go ahead and have the aligners made for you.
Step Three
Your first set of aligners will be available in the clinic to pick up (we will let you know when they are ready). You will need to wear them for a minimum of 20 hours a day until you switch them with your new aligners in two weeks. During this time, your dentist will check that progress is being made and make any adjustments necessary to ensure everything is going as it should be. Every two weeks, you will go through the same process until the final stage.
The Final Stage
When you are nearing the end of treatment, there might be some detailed work left to do. We may want you to wear additional trays just to ensure the treatment is completely effective. This refining stage is just another aspect of Invisalign that makes it stand out from other invisible brace treatments.
After Treatment
Once your teeth have reached the correct position, it is time to discuss how to keep them in that position long-term. Without any help at all, they may well move back into the position they were in before, but we can prevent this using permanent or removable retainers. You might want one in particular, or you might want to try both. We will talk you through both options and what we think is the most effective option for you so that your beautiful, straight teeth remain aligned.
